This workshop will explore the Pilates principles and their integration into a holistic everyday lifestyle (everyday life). The overriding principles of Pilates will be reviewed and how they combine to form a proven lifestyle. The Pilates principles of movement will be addressed and their relationship to the many benefits of the Pilates method. Participants will take home a more realistic and informed overview of the Pilates method that they can use as a portal of learning about holistic health.

Understanding the Dynamics -

This workshop will explore other aspects of group teaching dynamics that may be overlooked when we teach semi-privates or small groups. We will review some of the different aspects of the human mind/learning/reactive processes that may affect how we teach and how our clients learn in a group setting – or just life in general.

Open Gym, Open Mind

The historic format of Joe’s teaching revolved around an ‘Open Gym’ setting – which is many things to many people. This workshop will explore another layer of the historic Pilates method that is often lost in today’s modern translations. Participants will take away a different understanding of the definition of an Open Gym and how this important aspect of Pilates needs to be reawakened in today’s modern interpretation.
